Himalayan Silk Painting
Himalayan Painting is the reflection of Binita Basnet's wearable art with the medium of nature's finest silk. Her repertoire of art in silk is beautifully woven into tafeta, georgette, chiffon, crepe and dupion. The exquisiteness of Binita'a paintings on silk is extremely intimate and nature identical; in motive and color depiction.
Floral illustrations well blended with stern individuality and a contemporary outlook makes Binita's work unarguably sharp.
Himalayan Painting presents Binita's wearable art mediums namely: Scarves, which are available in hand printed, hand painted and fixed by steam which is more permanent kind of fixing. The dyes employed for the painting are fixed by both iron (pressed from reverse side) and steam. Colored dyes that are used for her paintings are azo free with beautiful luster in a fusion of unique composition and color combination.
Since the paintings are all done on the finest silks and the colours used are of the best quality, to have the same brilliance after repeated use, one has to exercise extra caution in terms of care after use.
